About

After serving for the past 8 years as Chairman of the White River Township Board, I have decided to seek the office of the Trustee. As Trustee, my goals are to be responsive to the needs of White River Township, be visible and supportive of the community, involved in its events, and to collaborate with all units of government for the betterment of the township. My wife, Annette, and I have been married for over 44 years and have lived in White River Township for the past 30 years. Both of our daughters, Deanna and Amy, are graduates of Center Grove High School and continue to live and raise families of their own in the township. Between the two of them, we have been blessed with six grandchildren ranging in age from 1 to 25 years old. Retiring from the trucking industry in 2008, I began substitute bus driving for the Center Grove School Corporation. In the beginning, I was not sure whether I would enjoy driving a bus, and was hesitant about accepting the responsibility of transporting students. However, I quickly realized how truly rewarding it is. I began driving full time in 2009 and continue to do so today. Driving the bus has given me the opportunity to be involved with many community members and events. It has truly been a pleasure seeing the growth and success of the students and getting to know them and their families on a personal level. Not only on my regular routes, but also driving for extra curricular school activities such as, being a team driver for the football, lacrosse, and volleyball teams, and when transporting equipment for the CG Choirs. My aim as a bus driver has always been to have a positive, caring influence at the start and end of each student’s day, and the same is true with serving the community. As trustee, I hope to provide a positive, caring impact on the township, and to be mindful of my duties and responsibilities to the tax payers.
